This beautifully restored 1976 Vintage Airstream Argosy has been refurbished and updated to support extensive road-worthy travel. Her updates were carefully planned to maintain as much of her vintage coolness as possible, adding features for functionality and convenience. She is registered in Michigan with clean title. We hope to find her a good home with appreciative vintage-loving owners.
Here are some of the primary upgrades done by professionals over the past three years.
EXTERIOR UPGRADES
- High gloss automotive exterior paint (custom red/white), performed by RV paint specialists in Elkhart Indiana
- Airstream-brand rock guards to protect front finish – installed by Airstream dealer
- Axle lift (3", providing better clearance for towing and parking) – installed by Airstream dealer
- New 2” receiver tow hitch (welded to frame, works perfectly for hauling bikes and e-bikes up to 300 lbs), installed by Airstream dealer
- All new 15x6 T16 Matte Black Aluminum Trailer Wheels
- New durable all-weather tires - installed by Airstream dealer
- All new electric brakes, new 5-pin adapter, new manual
- Newer deep cycle battery with solar kit connector (portable suitcase solar kit included)
- Updated and repositioned port for dumping
- Updated exterior 30-amp port with extra-long marine-grade safety cable
INTERIOR UPGRADES
- New oak color luxury LVP textured wood plank floors to match cabinets
- New oak color flex-fold room divider to match cabinets
- Retro pattern laminate kitchen countertop, Under counter microwave.
- Custom built wraparound banquette with thick comfy cushions with custom tufted covers. (converts to full/queen bed). Includes expandable platform table for dining/bed platform.
- Retro-design Frigidaire electric studio fridge/freezer – black/chrome (does not require propane)
- Mounted 32" Roku TCL TV with streaming features and remote
- Extra-long Acacia butcher-block wood desk with easy-roll cushioned office chair

ORIGINAL AIRSTREAM ARGOSY SPECS
The 1976 28-foot Airstream Argosy is a travel trailer built on a high-strength steel chassis with a distinctive painted exterior. Key features included a "monocoque" construction with a riveted aluminum shell, tandem axles with Dura-Torque axles and torsion bars, panoramic front windows, 2.25-inch fiberglass insulation, and electric brakes on all wheels.
